The total amount raised by the companies in the primary market in the current calendar year till August is Rs.18532.63 crore.

There is much happening on the IPO modernization front. The two proposals making rounds for the same are: 1) Reduce the time to market. 2) Only block the money for IPOs, not actually pay for it.
